  • My first winter holiday found me a place to be when Christmas lacks in white

Zwiesel is a charming village in Germany. Where you certainly will have plenty of snow when Christmas lacks in white.

In a few hours, you manage to do the sightseeing. Which consists of the glass factory where you can purchase something decorative. Next to it locates the 8.09 m pyramid with 68 rows of crystal glasses, the highlight of the attractions. The Sculpture Path takes you to surreal works of art step by step.

You will also be surrounded by excellent gastronomy for reasonable costs. You can also visit nearby villages for great food like the “El Greco” in Regen.

A few minutes from the charming centre of Zwiesel hides a cosy skiing and snowboarding area, which thankfully is not hectic as any other popular winter sports destination.   SONY DSC

For starters, you are looking to find the lady with the red bandana. This was an excellent opportunity to take on snowboarding lessons. Unfortunately, we were so intSONY DSCo practising and having a good time that we forgot to take pictures to show our best performances. (photoSONY DSCs from the second day)SONY DSCHowever, the following winter holiday is booked already, so we will register it. Zwiesel is highly recommended to ski and snowboarding lovers, but if you are social network crazy, expect to have trouble connecting to your favourite platform to share your adventure.

Check out the links I shared to learn more about this fantastic destination.

P.S: Just as I am late with this post, I am with wishing you the happiest year of your life.

    Happy 2015 dear followers.

  • Laughter and art to share

My way to the market in Utrecht on Saturday morning was unexpectedly enjoyable. On the train, I got accompanied by a friendly stranger. He kept telling joyful stories. He goes over his first iPhone, which his father bought for him. We could impossibly ignore him as he was so enthusiastic. He really made some of us laugh.

Though the great expectation was yet to come.

You walk straight into the Hoog Catharijne mall as you leave the station. Usually, on weekends, it is a big crowd. When least expected, you meet this exhibition of  Mathieu Klomp. A deer and a man. I was astonished by such an impressive and detailed work, so I thought I would share it with you.
