With the news of David Bowie’s death, my Monday took a different routine. I thought I’d break the silence of sadness with a coffee moment watching his documentary.

Listening to the song “Fame”, it came into my mind this memory.  Back when I was an eight-year-old girl in a strict upbringing family in Brazil. My uncle who used to live in London back in the 80’s brought home some albums, among them David Bowie. I was very curious  so my uncle sang a few words. I was forbidden from listening to this kind of music until later when I ran away from home.

I admired him for always being ahead with trends. He influenced generations of cultures with his fashion and music.
