In my point of view, Ghent is conservative and quirky with its medieval sights dated from the 12th century and a modern twist.
As soon as you enter the city, you get that feeling to be transported back in time. Roman and modern architecture take turns in every corner. The atmosphere is relaxing and free-spirited amongst all the church track around the city. The hotel I stayed had at the entrance hall this quirky sofa which I could not help but pose for a featured image.
My visit to Ghent was briefly but I will go back as this city got me inspired with its eccentric twist between antique and modern, mixture of cultures and contemporaneity. So I hope to get back soon to write more about it.
